OSM social mapping

As part of GeoGeeks regular social mapping outings, they met for a coffee and an exploration of the new train station and surrounding streets in Bayswater, WA.

GeoGeeks welcome everyone at these regular events, no experience is necessary. Novice attendees can learn about OSM, including how OSM relations work and how to link objects together for advanced public transport navigation.

This outing started at a local coffee shop, then surveyed the train station and the nearby shopping strips, before ending together for lunch.

The tasks were to add and update Points of Interest (POIs) on on your phone or a printed map.

A coffee/snack run is sponsored by OSGeo Oceania’s grants program
